teaching practice
Tanya teaches an individual dance technique that is based on clear and formal principles while allowing each student to interpret and embody them in their own unique way. In her classes, she places strong emphasis on desire, curiosity, attention, and imagination, offering a direct connection to the body and provoking dance immediately, without the interference of self-judgment. This stream-like technique can also be experienced as meditation, journey, tunnel, or trance.

Her academic training and mastery of various dance techniques ensure anatomically safe ways of moving. Through performative practices — which may appear as part of a dance class or be carried out independently — Tanya invites participants to attend to space, time, and the observation of reality.
